Urban Fantasy Playground - March Update: Short Story and SFW ART!
Hope March is treating you well so far!
I've been so busy, that I cruised right through February into March and didn't even realize it. But I have so many wonderful things for everyone to see and read!
First up, I've recently switched from Scrivener to Atticus, and I couldn't be more pleased with the purchase. It has a desktop app that syncs with the web version and the formatting tools are KILLER. I'm finishing up edits on Saint George V1 right now, and should have them to my lovely editor Tori at Flickering Words. Then, I get to tackle Thief In The Night, which is definitely getting a title change and some overall plot clean up before it sees Tori too. It's one of those awesome things about writing over the last three years or so. I can very distinctly see where I've improved and what I need to do to make things even better. Using Tapas and Neovel have helped with that. The feedback and comments are pretty wonderful to have, and it lets me know if things are on track or if I've bored everyone to hell and back.
ON to the AWESOME!
The Saint George Chronicles
First up - I commissioned a couple's photo of Xavior and Gregor from The Saint George Chronicles in their dragon forms. This art was done by the awesome Joanne Kwan who did the first two covers, and as soon as I can think of a concept for the V3 cover, they are onboard with making that cover too! I'm very excited about that. AND, not for nothing, all of the art you see will be going up on my walls in poster form somewhere so it can keep inspiring me to create more awesome stories.

If you are a Tapas person - you can check them out here. If not, you can check out their linktree here.
Oh and if the dragon art wasn't enough, I fixed up a short story for you too! March's short story is called Fashion Statement, and it can be found in multiple formats here. I'll have this up on my ko-fi at the end of the month, but if you'd like to drop a couple of dollars off there before then, please do.
If you've read both volumes at this point you are fine, no real spoilers here. If you haven't read anything, well, some of it might not make sense. If you've read volume 1 at least, you'll recognize the characters and have lots of hints about how volume 2 ends.
Prince's Tide
Want some more? I know you do. Here are Royce and Troller in their water folk forms with their podlings.

Mara does all kinds of amazing things with merfolk. When I found her on Twitter, with a commission slot open, I thought that was a huge neon sign. Plus, this commission piece is the one that I planned for all the awesome ink my readers posted up. You can find Mara's Linktree here.
Death Warmed Over
This is the title of my brand new writing project. I'm nine chapters into it, and will likely start publishing chapters at the beginning of the summer. However, I hope to reveal cover art and the blurb at the end of March. Depends on how much of a buffer I can build up, and how much of the story writes itself before I hit a snag. However, because you are awesome subscribers, you get the blurb now.
Death Warmed Over - A Mythical Desires Universe Novel
Mason wasn't the type to sit at home and let things happen. When Europe was beset by zombies and vampires controlled by a Dictator Necromancer named Joseph Florentine, she left her small town of Boulder in the Kansas Territory to join the Federated Armies and help European countries fight back. During the height of the war, in the summer of 1878, Mason's fate was decided for her.
While struggling to deal with transitioning from being a human with healing skills to a vampire with no ties or allegiance, Mason finds herself drawn to the ever kind and understanding Ian, who guides her through her first months as a vampire.
A century later, Mason finds herself in hot water after she rescues a mysterious young girl. She turns to Ian, who she hasn't seen since the war ended, for help. There's hope for a second chance between them, but it could cost them everything including their undead lives.
Here's hoping I can live up to that epic-ness! Alright friends, until next month. Enjoy! :) - M
