Appreciate a Dragon Day!
While January 16th is better known as MLK Jr. day here in the US, I was delighted to find out that it was also Appreciate a Dragon Day.
In honor of MLK Jr. Day, please read something from your favorite Black author. And if you’d like to read about Dragons, I have a suggestion that covers both!
This is a dragon duology that has recently landed on my TBR that I’m planning on reading in February at the latest. If you can’t read it right now, do yourself a favor and check it out on KU/Amazon and bump it up on your TBR. Katrina N. Lewis has got other great reads too, so check those out!

Review Blues
It’s a touchy subject, I know. And readers are welcome to review or rate my books however they choose. I love everyone that picks up my books and loves them like I do, and anyone that picks up one of my books and decides it’s not for them, that’s prefectly fine. Life is too short to read something you aren’t enjoying.
My books aren’t perfect. Being an self pub author means that sometimes imperfections slip through. I do my best, and hope that a reader would reach out to me if they found something or I was missing a content warning (this happened recently and I was very grateful for the info).
In the spirit of Appreciate a Dragon Day, could you help a dragon out on Amazon?
I have one lonely rating on Amazon for The Saint George Chronicles. If you’ve been waiting to rate or add a review to Amazon because you didn’t want to be the first (that can be kinda scary!), feel free to jump in and add your review—whatever that review/rating might be. I’m always looking for ways to improve and understand what readers like and open to receiving critical, constructive feedback.
Also very open to receiving positive feedback too. Did I entertain you? Are you excited for the next book? Wanna complain about Keith? (This is a common thing btw. Poor Keith has become a pseudo-villain, which was not my goal precisely, but it happens.) I’ll listen.
Though I will caution, that if you think my books are too queer, too spicy, too polyam—or whatever, that’s cool. (Though if you’re subscribed to this newsletter, I seriously doubt that’s the case.) Know that I’m writing more queer stories, spicy scenes, and monster things, and I don’t see that changing any time in the future.
