Where in the H-E-Double Hockey Sticks did the year go?
Blog posts, pre-order, and year end sales along with a personal wish!
Pre-order Available!
The pre-order is LIVE for the Mythical Desires Universe Short Stories collection! and if you are looking for print copies, those will be available for purchase on release day. This will be in KU for the first 90 days, then go to Kobo+ and all other markets.
RELEASE DAY IS: December 15th, 2023!
You’ll want to pick this book up because: One, it has a lot of art in it. The paperback has the art in COLOR! Two, there are several stories that have been edited and polished specifically for this edition. Three, it has notes about why I wrote the short stories and what else they inspired.
Signed Books Anyone?
With the end of the year comes the odd responsibility of taking stock. And I seem to have some stock left.
If you are interested in signed print copies of Death Warmed Over, or The Saint George Chronicles Volume One and Two, or Prince’s Tide - sign up here!
Each book will also include a bookmark and sticker. If you buy one, it’s $15. For two, it’s $25, and for all three, it’s $35. This includes sales taxes, plus shipping and handling in the USA. If you are an International reader, sign up anyway and see if we can work something out. I’ll be taking payments through Venmo and PayPal. Once you’ve signed up, I’ll send you a link to your chosen payment platform, when I’ve received your payment, I’ll ship your books.
I’m a one person show, so I can’t promise that things will ship on time for any particular holiday plans unfortunately. Though isn’t knowing you’ll get book mail pretty awesome anyway?
This deal will last as long as I have book stock, so fill out the form!
Year End Sales
Starting December 15th all my eBooks on Smashwords will be available for half price, and December 26th they will be half off on all platforms until the new year. (The short stories book won’t be included, this time!)
I’ll post links for sure, but if you’ve been waiting to grab my books while they are on sale, this is the time to do it!
Blogging Away!
Have you checked out my blog posts lately? This time of year, I find myself reviewing choices and setting intentions for the next year. There’s a lot I’m doing personally and professionally that I put into my blog posts, so if you haven’t checked out that section of my website, feel free to peruse at your leisure!
WhIP News
I have never been a huge reader of holiday themed books. Other than How the Grinch Stole Christmas, I’m not completely sure I’ve ever read another holiday themed book (Or if I have, I certainly don’t remember it - feel free to drop some queer recs in the comments!).
So you might be surprised that I had an idea for queer contemporary holiday themed story pop into my head last month. I don’t know why. I’m not even sure what I’m planning to do with it. But I have almost 1k worth of words down, so we’ll see. If I do manage to finish it, you might see it sometime next year.
My Holiday Wish
Besides hoping that the world will be less of a dumpster fire next year (I do not have high hopes of this, but I can wish for it.) I’m hoping you lovely folks can help me out!
If you’ve picked up my book and read it, whether you liked it or not, could you drop a review or a rating somewhere for me? It would be the most wonderful holiday gift for this indie author to see a bunch of new ratings and reviews this holiday season.
If you’ve downloaded one of my books as a freebie you can always drop a rating or review on my Goodreads page. If you picked it up from another platform, that’s cool too! Feel free to post something one of those. Everything helps!
New Year’s Habit
As some of you already know, almost all of my books are now available to read at any time if you have Kobo+. As a reader myself, I’ve been actively switching to Kobo and Kobo+ for my book purchases as much as possible. I’ve been using Bookshop.org for print books when my local book store doesn’t have it.
Book buying habits are hard to break, and I’m not saying I’ll never buy another book on any other platform (because I still do from time to time) but I’m trying to make an active effort to change my book buying habits for the better!
How about kicking off the last month of the year with some awesome Freddie dragon art! This is from Dolcet, and I absolutely love the expression. It matches Freddie so well! (Freddie is Xavior’s grand-niece and she’s in both The Dragon’s Lance and Rare Temptations.) Would this be a good sticker? Leave a note in the comments!
